Meet Professor

Milica Radisic

A bioengineering trailblazer and an award-winning scientist

Kerra was born from 15 years of research by Radisic and a team of all-female collaborators.

Surprisingly, this heptapeptide was able to maintain the health of various cell types from many different species. These findings immediately signalled the extraordinary importance of this peptide.

With her team of scientists at the University of Toronto, Professor Radisic was able to show that when faced with stressful cell-death causing stimulus and aging related signals, this heptapeptide promoted the viability and health of cells that make up the blood vessels, bone, skin and even the heart!
